a high salary no longer seems to be the biggest reason young 

people choose to work in baking.

 

corporate culture, along with work-life balance, are the top concern

for job seekers in the finance sector, which is considered as one of 

the most conservative industries in korea.

 

jung hyun-woo, a college student majoring in systems engineering , is 

aiming for a job in the banking industry, kakao bank is at the top of 

his list.

 

kakao bank is the nation's first internet-only bank launched in 2017.

with its horizoontal corporate culture and flexibel working hours,

work at the company is an attractive prospect for young job seekers.

the company started off with 300 employees , and currently has more 

than 800.

 

"kakao bank's biggest merit is its horizontal corporate culture. I would 

like to work where all staff are respected equally regardless of job tiltles 

or ranks." Said jung.

 

in a recent survey conducted earlier this month by incruit, a job recruiting 

site, kakao bank was picked as the most favored workplace among 

university students.

 

in a survey of 1,045 university students, the internet-only bank received 

27.3 percent of votes, way above the second place kb kookmin bank's 

17.7 percent. It was followed by shinhan bank and industrial bank if korea 

, which received 13.6 percent and 11 percent, respectively.

 

"online banks will soon lead the fintech market. Among them, kakao 

bank has the strongest growth potential. It is a comprehensive 

financial platform based on kakao, which owns the nation's dominant 

messenger, " he said, adding that he plans to apply for a position as 

kakao bank is currently hiring new staff.

 

jung da-woon, another applicant for kakao bank stated that rapid 

changes in the bank industry made her shift to internet-only banks.

 

"conventional banks are reducing branches and staff following the 

trend in contactless services. As kakao bank originally launched as an 

internet-only bank. I think it will smoothly cope wih the rapid change,"

she said.

 

an official at kakao bank told the korea times, "we have largely expanded 

our business in recent years, gaining the attention of young jobseekers.

also, our horizontal corporate culture, in which juniors can actually play

leading roles, seems to attract university students."

시스템 엔지니어링을 전공한 한 대학생 정 현우 씨는 금융업에서 직업을

갖는 것을 목표로 하고 있으며, 카카오 은행이 그의 목록 상위에 있다.

 

카카오 은행은 2017년에 시작된 오로지 인터넷 기반으로만 운영되는 한국의 

첫 번째 은행이다. 회사는 수평적인 사내 문화와 유연한 근무시간을 가지며,

그 회사에서 근무하는 것이 젊은 구직자들에게는 매력적인 방향이다.

300명의 직원들로 시작했고 현재는 800명 이상의 직원이 있다.

 

"카카오 은행의 가장 큰 장점은 그 회사의 수평적인 기업문화다.

나는 모든 직원들이 그들의 직함이나 계급에 상관없이 존중받는 곳에서 

일하고 싶다."라고 정 현우 씨는 말했다.

조사에서, 카카오 은행이 대학생들 사이에서 가장 선호되는 직장으로

선택되었다.

 

1,045명의 대학생을 상대로 한 한 조사에서, 카카오 은행은 2위를 차치한 

Kb 국민은행의 17.7 퍼센트를 훨씬 더 뛰어넘는 27.3 퍼센트를 받았다.

각각 13.6 퍼센트를 받은 신한은행이 , 11 퍼센트의 한국 산업은행이 

뒤를 이었다.

 

"온라인 은행은 곧 핀테크 시장을 이끌 것이다. 그들 중 카카오 은행이 

가장 강력한 성장 잠재력을 가지고 있는 회사다. 현재 카카오 은행이 새 직원을

고용하고 있어 구직을 지원할 계획이라고 덧붙이며,  한국의 지배적인 메신저인

카카오에 기반을 둔 종합적인 금융 플랫폼 회사이다"라고 말했다.

 

또 다른 카카오 은행 지원자인 정 다운 씨는 금융산업의 급격한 변화가 

온라인에만 기반한 은행으로 그녀가 시선을 옮기도록 만들었다고 말했다.

 

"전통적인 은행들은 비접촉식 서비스의 트렌드 이후에 지점들과 직원을 줄이고

있는 중이다. 카카오 은행은 원래 인터넷만을 기반으로 한 은행으로써 시작했기 

때문에 , 이 회사가 빠른 변화에 순조롭게 대처할 것으로 생각한다고 "말했다.

 

카카오 은행의 한 관계자는 코리아 타임스에 "젊은 구직자들의 관심을

받으며, 우리는 요즈음 크게 사업을 확장해왔다. 또한 지위가 낮은 직원들이 실제

주도적인 역할을 할 수 있기 때문에 , 수평적인 사내 문화가 대학생들에게 매력적으로

보이는 것 같다."라고 말했다.
